Today my body aches from demoing CRUFT at Boston Festival of Indie Games, but my heart is nourished! Thank you to all the brave people who gave our game a minute (or 45!) of their time, and endured all my blabbing about it. Also, thank you to all the volunteers who made the event GO! We couldn't believe how helpful and available the event staff were.
It was an honor to be picked out of the flood of submitted games and given a table at the digital showcase. You better believe we'll be pasting "BostonFIG Finalist" onto our store page. Accolades are hard to come buy in the crowded indie game market, and we'll wear this one proudly.
I like to compare game dev to cooking. I love it, but not because of the time spent in front of the stove. I love it because delivering a meal for another's enjoyment is one of the best feelings in life. A game is like an uber-meal that takes months or years to make, but you can serve it to as many people as you can find. Astounding! So, an event like BostonFIG is a huge payoff for us because we get to witness that first taste, repeatedly, for hours.

We'll be back next year, we're planting that flag in the ground now. Our corner of the game dev world is small but full of heart and we'd be fools to let its biggest celebration of independent games pass us by. See ya next year!
