The Cost of Friendship

I give so little, but ask so little in return. Sure, I probably haven't seen you in person in years. But the closeness we share is a rare one. I think about you from time to time and hope you are doing well. I'm sure sometimes you wonder what I'm up to, but you don't reach out either. Maybe you keep me in your fantasy baseball league just to make sure I'm still alive and kicking. I appreciate it.

In this day and age, often it is just the little things we do to keep some thin thread of contact. A like or comment on a LinkedIn post. Maybe you tag someone in an Instagram post. Maybe you drop into someone's Twitch stream from time to time and just lurk. With all the talk of how separated we are these days, those little things still matter.

Right now though, for about the same effort as clicking a thumbs up button, you can tangibly affect the outcome of a project I've been pouring a lot of effort into. I need to get eyes and mouse clicks on this game. The best way to do that is to get it to show up at all on Steam. Wishlisting directly affects this. Next Fest is a showcase of Demos that gives small indies a shot at visibility.
